Amos Rex museum is the largest private art museum in Finland. The Museum arranges 8\u201312 exhibitions a year around special themes covering both contemporary and more traditional art. Amos Anderson (1878\u20131961), the founder of the museum, was a generous patron who supported Finnish art and science. HAM is one of the largest art museums in Finland and the Nordic countries. The museum exhibits works of old European masters from the 14th to the mid-19th century. The permanent collection includes statues and porcelain artefacts from the 16th and 17th century.
