Helsinki has a lot of interesting things to do with kids. Here’s our five tips:
1. Helsinki Zoo
Korkeasaari is a 22-hectare rocky island where is the biggest zoo in Finland. Korkeasaari is one of the most popular places among tourists in Helsinki. The 150 animal species and almost 1000 plant species show the diversity of nature. In Korkeasaari you can see lions, monkees, bears, snow leopards, camels, etc.

2. Linnanmäki amusement park
Linnanmäki is the most popular amusement park in Finland. It was opened in 1950. Linnanmäki has almost 50 different rides of different sizes. There’s also other attractions, such as arcades, games and restaurants. Next to Linnanmäki there’s Sea Life which transports you into the amazing underwater world.

3. Children’s Town
Children’s Town is in Helsinki’s historical center within the Helsinki City Museum. There children can play in boutiques and workshops from 18th century Helsinki, sit at a school desk in a 1930s primary school class and visit a grandma’s home from the 1970s. Children’s Town is in Sederholm House which is the oldest building in Helsinki, dated back to 1757.

4. Heureka
Heureka is a science center in Vantaa, about 10 kilometres from Helsinki. The aim of the Heureka is to popularize scientific information and to develop the methods used to teach science.

5. Tropicario
Tropicario is a trip to the world of snakes and lizards. There are in Tropicario among others spiders, turtles and crocodiles.
